om   The role Location - Europe (Remote)   As a Senior Patent Engineer with a significant level of responsibility and accountability, you will be responsible for preparing patents for a diverse range of software inventions that drive the distribution business.
Additionally, you will offer intellectual property (IP) advice and counseling on all IP-related matters.
Key responsbilities.
Advise on all IP-related matters and offer business-oriented IP solutions to facilitate business goals and objectives.
Collaborate with inventors and engineering teams, particularly on patent applications, to safeguard innovations and foster credibility and trust within the business.
Lead the implementation of IP strategies, conduct IP evaluations, and manage IP portfolios.
Conduct effective IP risk management, such as searches, patent clearance, freedom-to-operate analyses, validity opinions, and other legal advice What we need to see from you Experience in preparing documentation for patent applications and a technical background that bridges the gap between inventors and patent applications.
Proficiency in the entire patent application process and practical skills in interacting with patent offices.
Expertise in developing and implementing IP strategies, IP licensing/transactions, prosecution and litigation, legal opinions, freedom-to-operate analyses, patents, trademarks, software copyrights, negotiation, and drafting.
Legal knowledge of European jurisdictions, including national, supra-national, and international IP laws (e.
., patent, copyright, trademark laws).
High proficiency in verbal and written English with excellent communication, interpersonal skills, intercultural sensitivity, and the ability to explain and resolve complex technical, IP, and legal matters.
A business-minded team player with a hands-on approach, collaborative personality, result-oriented mindset, self-motivation, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
