The Plant Manager’s primary responsibilities include the daily management and coordination of plant operations including production, logistics, engineering, quality, ensuring compliance with all labour, safety, environmental and corporate policies and regulations. Main Respobnsabilities: Coordinate, give direction and set objectives to optimize the productivity, quality, services and costs whilst respecting the environment and taking care of all EHS issues according to our internal and external standards. Change the culture to get higher EHS standards relating to Exide goals. - Achieve production numbers in line with yearly / monthly budget and in a lean and continuous improvement philosophy. Achieve manufacturing result conversion cost according to budget /forecast. Achieve high customer satisfaction with delivery time and product quality. Demonstrate strong leadership at all times to coach, develop and motivate the team. Lead the change in the Plant and implement new products, processes and production technologies in the plant. Control and manage all projects during the FY to achieve the best result for the plant (CAPEX, savings…). Participate in cross functional pan European projects. Share Best practice with other Plants in the Group. Participate in labor relations with unions to create a good and integrating work atmosphere.Participate in the definition of the plant strategy for the long term. Desired candidate profile:University degree in Bachelors Degree – Engineering, Chemistry, Manufacturing or Business discipline.10 + years in operations or manufacturing in a Lean or Six Sigma Environment, 5 years in a Manufacturing leadership position, knowledge of and experience using Lean and / or Six Sigma improvement methodology. Understanding of manufacturing cost drivers and knowledgeable of continuous cost improvement processes.
