PROCESS ENGINEER

The candidate for this position will be responsible for monitoring the operations of our systems, including quality and compliance. The candidate should also be able to recommend improvements to the process through the tracking of metrics and reporting of data. The candidate should definitely have strong technical abilities in order to succeed in this role. How You Will Do It:Functional objectives:• Optimize, standardize and stabilize the process in the production (breaker, furnaces and alloying) areas and in other installations of the plant• Find, define and track technical improvement projects• Project manage and supervise start-up projects for new machinery or installations• Lead and coordinate teamsMain Tasks:• Supervise projects for technical improvement of machinery and processes• Coordinate teams to implement plans and projects in the minimum necessary period of time• Design technical improvements to increase machinery efficiency or to adapt it to new products or processes• Collaborate with maintenance specialist with proposals and solutions for technical problems• Track projects to implement newly developed processes into the production• Find, define and track projects with the help of six sigma tools to:o Reduce variation in the production processeso Reduce material use in the metallurgical processeso Achieve rejects and non-compliance products reduction goals• Be interface between Product/Process, Maintenance and Production areas in regard to processes• Support project work of the team members• Work out a portfolio for all projects to be processed in the team• Manage teams to solve problems or to implement project (revamping, modification) in the production process• Compare processes in other plants with the internal process and find out improvement possibilitiesWhat We Look For• Required qualificationsDegree in chemistry. chemical or industrial engineeringMinimum 5 years of job experience in the process engineering areaMS Office ( Advanced knowledge of Excel, Powerpoint, Word)Sound knowledge of metallurgical processes, ideally for lead smelting.Project Management PractitionerSpanish bilingualEnglish communication skills (B2-C1)Your workplace will be either in Spain (Medina del Campo, Valladolid.)• Preferred qualificationsSAP experience FI / COStrong communication skills to effectively disseminate process informationInnovative and practical problem-solving abilities to address process challengesFamiliarity with process controlExcellent written and oral skillsAbility to work independently and collaborativelyAttention to detail and accuracyWillingness to learnManagement SkillsWho we areClarios is the creator behind the world’s most recognizable car battery brands.
