Product Owner Job Description.
Job Description The Sage Experience Platform (SxP) is a native cloud platform that supports Sage’s 'Suite Experience' and offers customers a common digital experience for navigation, profile management, account management, user management, and sales, service, and success.
The Product Owner (SxP Onboarding) will be responsible for the gradual transition of all the products in the Accounting BU to the SxP platform and ensuring that they follow a best-practice adoption approach.
The Product Owner (SxP Onboarding) will collaborate with SxP and accounting BU Product Managers, Engineers, and Experience & Solution Designers to develop and execute a strategy and consistent method for onboarding to the SxP and progressively adopting the SxP UI and services.
The PO will need to build deep knowledge of the platform, the GMO, and the accounting products onboarding to it to closely manage the product backlog and plan.
They will be collaborative, business focused, with a keen appreciation of the needs of our customers and prospects.
Key Responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities Develop deep knowledge of the SxP and accounting products from a functional and customer experience perspective and become an SxP SME who can educate and guide accounting teams throughout their SxP onboarding journey.
Evaluate if and how the various elements of the platform can benefit accounting BU products, customers, prospects, business partners and Sage, and clearly define the priorities.
Understand how native cloud products have adopted the platform to date and ascertain best practices to apply to new adopters.
Design a phased approach for adopting the platform that considers customer experience, Sage impact and benefits, commercial outcomes and SxP and accounting roadmaps.
Be responsible for executing the SxP adoption plan for the accounting products, working closely with SxP and accounting product management.
Manage the product backlog, balancing must-have requirements with timelines and business outcomes.
Keep abreast of SxP roadmap deliverables and ensure that all products continuously develop and improve adoption.
Requirements.
Past Product Management or solution design expertise delivering high quality user experience.
Ability to effectively prioritise work packages, taking into consideration dependencies, complexity and business and customer outcomes Experience working closely with engineers, platforms or as a technical product manager.
Demonstrated understanding of the techniques and methods of modern product discovery and product delivery.
Proven ability to determine solutions to complex problems with many constraints, using sound judgement to assess risks, and to lay out your argument in a well-structured, data-informed, written narrative.
Thrives when working in a matrix environment, where colleagues need to be supported, driven, influenced to deliver even bigger results.
Preferred.
Experience with roadmap management and backlog tools such as Aha!, Jira, Confluence, etc.
