What is the job about? The Project Manager manages individual department project activities within the organization, overseeing the execution and completion of these activities.
This role is responsible for leading the delivery phase of aerospace system projects and providing project planning expertise throughout the full project lifecycle.
The Project Manager will also coordinate and manage customer projects, actively identifying and mitigating risks, resolving issues, and ensuring successful delivery.
The goal is to achieve project excellence and meet customer requirements by ensuring efficient coordination and seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams.
What will you do? Initiate, plan, execute, monitor & control, and close project milestones using Atlassian tools such as JIRA and Big Picture.
Manage customer project deliverables, actively identifying and managing opportunities, risks, and issues to ensure effective resolution or mitigation.
Coordinate required activities to ensure successful project delivery, serving as a liaison between project teams, planning, scheduling, and line management.
Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
Track and report project status relative to the project scope developing and delivering progress reports, proposals, required project documentation, and presentations.
Collaborate with architects and system engineers to ensure consistency and project excellence.
Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the team.
Participate in the development of the functions and procedures of the team performing project close-out and lessons-learned activities as necessary.
Get involved in the full system development life cycle.
Collaborate with the business winning proposals.
Assist other members of the team, including mentoring and advising junior members within the program.
What are we looking for? Mandatory.
Willing to work from our Madrid office (Calle Genova, 17 by the Alonso Martinez & Colon underground stations)  at least 2 days a week.
Engineering degree (e.
.
Aerospace, Telecommunications, Electronics, or Industrial Engineering) 3-5 years of experience in project management with a strong understanding of Project Management knowledge areas (PMI or similar).
Proficient with tools supporting agile methodologies, (e.
.
JIRA or Big Picture) A strong understanding of using the tool to plan and manage projects, create and manage issues, and track progress using various workflows and reporting tools.
Experience delivering projects in communications, aerospace, space or defense industries.
Strong analytical skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in written and oral Spanish and English.
Valuable.
Experience in international projects.
Knowledge of aerospace standards.
Hardware/software/electronics understanding.
Certified PMP or CAPM.
