PROJECT MANAGER

Working closely with subject matter experts, the Project Manager is responsible for day-to-day project activities, acting as a crucial link between departments to ensure seamless coordination, strategic alignment, and timely delivery of committed milestones.Reporting to the Senior Vice President Strategy & Transformation Office, your main responsibilities will be:Project Leadership: Lead and inspire the project team, providing guidance and direction to engage delivery teams and foster a cohesive and efficient working environment.Motivate team members and manage conflicts to ensure project objectives are met.Operational Management:Oversee daily project activities, meticulously managing workstreams to ensure smooth progress and adherence to schedules.Ensure that all project tasks are completed within established timelines while meeting quality standards.Communication:Act as a communication bridge, facilitating effective collaboration and ensuring a shared understanding of project objectives across all teams.Consistently provide project updates to various stakeholders regarding strategy, adjustments, and progress.Project Management:Assist in defining project scope and objectives, involving relevant internal stakeholders to ensure technical feasibility from conception to implementation.Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan, analyzing requirements and functions for timely execution.Track project performance to ensure the successful completion of short- and long-term goals.Monitor project parameters (timelines, deliverables, resources, etc.), controlling and managing deviations while evaluating progress.Manage risks, impediments, and issues associated with projects, and effectively escalate them to senior management when necessary.Process Management:Analyze, design, and implement efficient processes and procedures in the daily operations of assigned areas with the objective of improving efficiency, quality, and consistency.Identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency and reduce costs without compromising quality.Develop and document new processes and procedures to enhance daily operations, establishing operational standards that align with industry best practices.Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of processes.Monitor the application of processes to ensure compliance, gathering feedback, and making recommendations for necessary improvements.Interdepartmental Coordination:Work closely with managers and heads of each department to ensure effective implementation of processes.Facilitate communication between different areas to ensure a smooth transition to new procedures.Business Strategy and Alignment:Collaborate with senior leadership to align project goals with the broader business strategy, ensuring that project outcomes contribute to the organization’s long-term objectives.Analyze market trends and internal data to provide strategic insights that inform project direction and decision-making.Identify strategic opportunities within the project scope to drive innovation, revenue growth, and competitive advantage.Ensure that all projects and processes are aligned with the company’s strategic vision, adapting plans as necessary to respond to changing business environments.Evaluate the impact of project outcomes on overall business performance and recommend adjustments to strategy as needed.Who is the ideal person for this job?The ideal person to fill this position has excellent project management skills; strong organizational and planning skills with attention to detail, capacity to prioritization & goal setting, scheduling & time management; as well as ability to lead and manage change, a positive and dynamic attitude to face different challenges with effective communication, problem-solving oriented and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement and collaboration.Location: based in Palma de Mallorca.Studies:Bachelor's Degree in Tourism, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Economics or similar.Master in Project Management or similar (PMP) is desirable.Additional certifications in Lean Management, Six Sigma, or similar are highly valued.Experience / Background:At least 5 years experience in project management, demonstrating successful leadership and supervisory skills.Experience in the hospitality industry is desirable.
