At Platforma.bio, we are at the forefront of revolutionizing computational biology through our cutting-edge software platform. We aim to empower bioinformatics developers by providing a robust framework and SDK that enables the creation of sophisticated applications tailored for biology use.  Role overviewWe are seeking for a QA engineer. Currently we have a desktop app (TypeScript, Vue.js, Electron.js) with core that combines the efficiency of TypeScript with the performance of C++, and an orchestrating engine with workflow language (GoLang, TypeScript) as a server. This role focuses on ensuring the quality of the desktop application.Key Responsibilitiestest new features;implement autotests on TypeScript;develop test plans and checklists for complex tasks;directly participate in gathering and analyzing requirements (including with English-speaking stakeholders), assessing risks and minimizing them.This role offers significant potential for professional advancementimplement from scratch the whole process of manual and automation testing of the desktop application on different operating systems;implement support and amplify automatic tests infrastructure;establish processes within the team to ensure quality at all stages of product development;manage the scope of the team's automated tests and the automation backlog in collaboration with bioinformatics scientists.We expect than youhave at least 1 years of experience in QA and a passion for high-quality products;have experience in building test models.It would be a plus if youpossess practical knowledge in the field of testing (test design, types of testing, testing pyramid, etc.);understand testing optimization methods;are proficient in at least one programming language and willing to learn new languages.What we offera chance to be part of a groundbreaking platform that is changing the landscape of genomic research;a supportive and collaborative work environment where your contributions are valued and celebrated;opportunities for personal and professional growth, with access to resources and training to advance your skills;Competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and flexible working arrangements;Relocation to Spain, Bilbao.
