Our client strives to lead in technology integration and material innovation to improve reliability, reduce costs, and minimize environmental impact, meeting the evolving demands of customers and society.GoalsPackaging Design Innovation: Explore new methods, materials, and technologies to enhance RF packaging, adapting to market needs and technological trends.Performance and Interference Optimization: Design packaging to maximize RF signal quality and minimize loss and interference for optimal wireless communication.Standards Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry standards (IEEE, IPC, JEDEC) for compatibility and quality.Sustainability and Cost Efficiency: Integrate sustainable practices and cost-effective approaches without sacrificing quality or performance.Collaboration and Improvement: Innovate and refine processes and products through interdisciplinary teamwork in a continuous learning environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign RF circuits up to 50 GHz, including specific amplifiers and driving components.Collaborate with photonics teams to establish RF circuit specifications.Lead RF design efforts at the PCB level, aligning layouts with design criteria.Conduct in-depth characterization and evaluations in a microwave lab, using tools such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, and oscilloscopes.Contribute to simulations for electromagnetics and thermal management to optimize device performance.Serve as a technical point of contact for hardware development with external collaborators.QualificationsDegree in Electrical Engineering or related field; advanced education is advantageous.Over 4 years of RF engineering experience, ideally in innovative or emerging technology settings.Expertise in RF simulation tools for complex analysis, including non-linear circuit behavior and electromagnetic modeling in layered planar architectures; experience with 3D EM simulation environments is essential.Proficiency with engineering software and programming languages, such as Matlab, C/C++, or Python.Skilled in RF-specific PCB layout design.Experience in RF evaluation and performance assessment procedures.Motivated and research-driven, with an enthusiasm for technological progress.Strong collaboration and project management skills, with an ability to work independently.Proficiency in English for effective communication.Knowledge of telecommunications packaging design, focusing on encapsulation and wave propagation effects.Familiarity with thermal considerations in device operation, especially for photodiodes and signal processing.Interest or experience in 5G and millimeter-wave technology design, particularly in interconnectivity solutions.Fiber optic communications experience is a plus.
