The activity will provide a deep understanding of new RAN technical enablers in 6G.
MAIN ACTIVITIES AND OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION The objectives of the position offered are.
Analysis of new technical enablers in 6G; Analysis of new capabilities in RAN related to different 3GPP releases and O-RAN specifications; Participation in European and national research projects, such as those of the SNS and UNICO I+D programs.
EDUCATION REQUIRED Telecommunications Engineer, with RAN expertise, with more 3 years of experience working on radio access networks design and evolution; Master Degree mandatory; PhD student desirable, but not mandatory.
SPECIFIC SKILLS Desirable project management capabilities, but not mandatory; Ability to work in a multinational and multicultural environment; Strong verbal, visual, and written communication skills; Capability to understand business requirements and convert into technological requirements; Capability to interact with providers and integrators to run evaluation processes; Capability to identify and resolve problems; Capability to communicate at different levels (directors, engineers, …) to disseminate architecture propositions; Dynamic attitude, self-learner and proactive.
TECHNICAL SKILLS Strong knowledge in the area of RAN network; Knowledge of 5G and 5G Advanced; Capability to understand network architectures and protocols; Programming experience, Python in particular.
EXPERIENCE 2-3 years + experience in RAN Access network.
LANGUAGES Advanced English language is mandatory.
