R&D PROJECT MANAGER

Our headquarters and technology centers are located in Europe and the United States, and our workforce is more than 7,000 strong.In Werfen, our purpose is to contribute to the advancement of patient care around the world through innovative specialized diagnostics solutions.Job Summary:In Werfen, we are, looking for a position as a R&D Project Manager (PM) who is responsible for the management of New Product Development projects and other product projects with high complexity in terms of organization. The PM is responsible of managing the project teams to meet the project goals within the given scope, time, quality and budget constraints.Key Accountabilities:R&D project manager, his/her main tasks are:• Coordinate the team throughout all project management phases, from project proposal to post-launch (6-12 months after launch)• Ensure that all team members have the required information and resources to carry out their tasks effectively• Lead internal project meetings and partner meetings, including preparation of agenda/meeting minutes• Meet with individual team members to find and fix any issues• Foster a culture based on accountability• Lead/Prepare project charter, RACI, Risk assessment, Project plan and other project management documentation needed throughout the project.• Prepare budget on a yearly basis and for scope changes• Monitor and control budget throughout the project• Be accountable for identifying, assessing and mitigating project risks and issues, and removing impediments.• Leverage project data to inform, guide, and/or support business decisions.• Minimize timelines and align management of co-operation tasks with partners (i.e IFUs, reagent compatibility..)• Align OEM partners milestones with OEM milestones• Prepare cost / time proposals for partners (assess KAM/VP Sales&marketing)Networking/Key relationships:This position requires cooperating with different company departments and roles of which we would highlight:• For PM process improvements the R&D PM cooperates with Managers/Directors/VPs at Werfen• R&D PM cooperates with his/her Project stakeholders like the Cross Functional Team members and if needed elevation of project issues to necessary level management/directors/VPs.• Finally the R&D PM cooperates with his/her Project sponsors like the KAM/VP Sales /VP R&DKnowledge & Experience:Knowledge:· Required:Bachelor's degree (Licenciatura) in the biological or related sciences Experience:· Required:Minimum of 2-year experience in Project management, preferably in the management of diagnostics, pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device projecects.Additional Knowledge: · Extensive knowledge of the general project management concepts. · Proficiency in the use of office automation software (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc.). · Extensive knowledge of tools that are used to manage projects such as Microsoft Project. · Fluency in Spanish and English.Skills & Capabilities:Excellent analytical skills Excellent leadership and team building skills Excellent communication skills Excellent management skills Ability to collaborate, participate and coordinate actively with working groupsReflects values of Werfen in the quality of work and working relationshipTravel Requirements:Up to 5% of timeWhat we offer:A meaningful project that will impact the quality of laboratory medicine worldwideMulticultural and friendly teamExciting opportunities for professional development.Ongoing trainingSocial benefits: Canteen, nursery check, English training...Retirement PlanOur Purpose:We contribute to the advancement of patient care around the world through innovative specialized diagnosticsJOIN US!
