RESEARCHER FOR OEMC AND MORE4NATURE PROJECTS (REF. )

CREAF is seeking a researcher for developing some of the CREAF contributions to the OEMC (Open-Earth-Monitor - A cyberinfrastructure to accelerate uptake of environmental information and help build user communities at European and global levels) with ref.
HORIZON-CL- and More4nature, (Empowering citizens in collaborative environmental compliance assurance via MOnitoring, REporting and action) with ref.
HORIZON-CL- and both projects financed by the European Commission.
A full-time contract is offered (37.
h per week), with a planned incorporation in October until the end of the OEMC project by May .
The salary offered is € gross per year.
TASKS.
Contribute to the development of the core of the MiraMon project [desktop (GeM+, etc) and web (MiraMon Map Server)], e.
., metadata management, wider integration of formats and standards, new geographic analysis tools, etc (https://www.

tm).
The development will be done in C language.
Integration of the new requirements coming for the OEMC, more4nature or strategic interests of the Grumets group.
Create written materials for the help and dissemination or the cited platforms.
Implement relevant Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) Standards, such as the OGC Web APIs as well as the Sensor Things API.
Contribute to the deliverables and results of the mentioned OEMC and more4nature project.
Writing scientific literature or produce materials/data supporting the writing process.
Contribute to the promotion of the Grumets research group and to the use of the MiraMon software (desktop and web).
REQUIREMENTS.
PhD in Environmental, Biological Sciences, Geography, Geology, Informatics, Physics or similar.
Previous experience working in topics such as Remote Sensing, GIS or Geospatial Data Management.
Previous experience on software C developments, for GIS, Remote Sensing in C language.
Previous experience in elaborating and analyzing land use and cover maps.
Good level of written English.
ASSESSABLE CONDITIONS.
Good level in the use of MiraMon, including the use of batch processing and module development.
Some level of programming skills in at least one of the following languages.
Python, R or JavaScript.
Experience in post doctorate research and development work or supporting research and development.
Training and experience in topics such as Remote Sensing, GIS or Data Management.
Fluency in exposing ideas and discussing in public.
Experience in previous national or international research projects.
Knowledge in geospatial standards (sensors, metadata, data quality, OGC web services, OGC APIs).
Careful attention to details.
Working independently but in constant coordination with a team.
Good level of Catalan, written and spoken.
