SENIOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER - SPAIN EXPANSION Do you have a knack for identifying lucrative opportunities in the hospitality industry and turning them into successful ventures?If so, we invite you to join this dynamic group team as a Senior Business Development Manager for their expanding portfolio in Spain. As a leading Spanish hospitality group, this company specializes in hotel operations but counts on a diverse portfolio that includes short and medium-stay assets. We are looking for a strategic and autonomous professional to spearhead this group’s expansion efforts across Spain, adding a significant number of rooms annually to their portfolio. This role is not limited to hotel assets but also encompasses apartments, coliving spaces, hostels, and other innovative hospitality formats.  What will they expect from you once you join?:As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will be doing different activities, all of them in an autonomous way, so we’re looking for someone with a certain level of seniority.Among these responsibilities (here are some, but more will be explained in the interviewing process), they will expect from you: - Drive Expansion, with a diversified Asset Focus: Identify and secure new business opportunities across Spain, significantly increasing the number of rooms in our portfolio each year, expanding the portfolio beyond traditional hotels to include a variety of hospitality assets such as apartments, co-living spaces, and hostels (among others).- Network Development: Build and nurture a robust network of business partners, including funds and property owners, to source and close high-potential opportunities.- Opportunity Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and feasibility studies to assess potential acquisitions and developments.- Business Planning: Develop comprehensive business plans for new ventures, ensuring alignment with the group’s strategic goals and financial targets.- Negotiation & Closure: Lead negotiations with property owners and stakeholders to secure advantageous deals and drive successful closures. As stated, we wanted to give you a brief overview of what will be expected from you, but we will explain in further detail once you get into the interviewing process soon! How do you know you will be a good fit?:Well, there are certain things you do need to have to be a good fit in this position. The most important ones are:- Experience: Minimum of 4-5 years in expansion / business development roles within hotel chains, hospitality real estate consultancies, or investment funds specializing in hospitality.- Autonomy: Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and achieve targets with minimal supervision.- Networking: Proven track record of building and leveraging a network of hospitality industry contacts to drive business growth (especially funds and hospitality owners).- Analytical Skills: Strong capability to analyze market trends, financial data, and operational viability of potential assets.- Communication: Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to communicate effectively to get the best business outcomes for the company.
