Would you like to join an innovative project where technology is used to make a positive impact by combating misinformation and fake news?We’re seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our AI team. Step into a thrilling challenge where you'll collaborate with a passionate team exploring the cutting edge of generative AI and multimodal models to tackle fake news. Working closely with data scientists, ML engineers and fact-checkers to design the next generation of intelligent systems that can automatically verify information and make a meaningful impact in the fight against misinformation.Do you thrive on solving the unsolvable? If so, keep reading…What you will doYour mission will be to build the data pipelines, microservices, and information architecture that power the intelligent agents we’re creating to combat fake news.What we're looking forExperience: At least 4–5 years building production-grade software in roles such as Data Engineer, Platform Engineer or ML DevOps Engineer.Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent professional experience.Language: Fluent in Spanish and English.Technical Skills:Strong proficiency in building API endpoints using Python (FastAPI) or TypeScript (Nest.js).Expertise in SQL (MariaDB) and NoSQL (MongoDB) database design and maintenance.Familiarity with event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ, NATS, etc.).Proven experience in ETL/ELT pipeline development.Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.Hands-on experience with vector databases (Pinecone, ElasticSearch, FAISS).Understanding of data quality and governance best practices.Bonus if...You have experience developing and maintaining ML systems.You are knowledgeable about modern data architecture patterns (e.g., data mesh, medallion architecture...)Your are familiar with workflow orchestration tools like Airflow, Prefect or Kubeflow.You have experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras).What we offerThe opportunity to work on a meaningful project that makes a real impact by combating fake news and misinformation.A competitive salary attending to your experience: 45,000-65,000€ (gross salary)Full remote work, with the option to join a coworking space at our headquarters if you're based in Madrid.Offsites and team-building activities that foster collaboration and strengthen team bonds.A positive work environment where your work truly matters.Flexible working hours to help you balance work and life.
