SOFTWARE ENGINEER FOR DEFENCE PROJECTS

GMV is an experienced technology group and We are expanding our teams in the Security and Defense sector, where you will coordinate activities throughout the entire software development lifecycle for key military products used in land and maritime vehicles, as well as lead technological aspects of European programs.We´ll get to the point; we'll tell you what's not on the web. If you want to know more about us go to GMV websiteWHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?In our team, you will coordinate a team of 6-10 developers tasked with the development, architectural design, and verification of a critical software library shared across multiple working groups.Your responsibilities include:Actively participating in new software developments for the library, improving its architecture, and defining verification strategies.Assigning tasks and ensuring their completion within set deadlines while maintaining high coding standards.Defining the necessary criteria for integrating new functionalities into the library, including coordinating with the technical leads of each project.Evaluating potential improvements to existing implementations and discussing their feasibility with project managers or department heads.WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?For this role, we are looking for Computer or Software Engineers or similar degrees with prior experience in:Programming languages such as C or C++.Linux development environments.Version control systems like Git.Project management tools such as Redmine or Jira.Experience in Defense projects and knowledge of continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins) will also be highly valued.WHAT DO WE OFFER?🕑 Hybrid working model and 8 weeks per year of teleworking outside your usual geographical area.💻 Flexible start and finish times, and intensive working hours Fridays and in summer.🚀 Personalized career plan development, training and language learning support.🌍 National and international mobility.
