We seek to understand and respect others regardless of their background or position.The Opportunity:We are currently looking for a Software Engineer Intern to Support our PnT Department, specifically our Support & Product Teams.PnT is providing support to Ops and business intake team and this requires more coordination and dedication to save time from more senior developers / engineers. This is a hot topic and friction between ops and PnT. This role would be dedicate (part time) to this coordination and then to development of tools / product on the remaining time. This will help greatly to get more efficiency on time management of more senior engineers.Responsibilities:· Develop platform related services and integrations to evolve our platform taking into account extensibility, throughput and scalability.· Cover your code with tests.· Pair review. Every piece of code is reviewed by your peers before merging.· Be the owner of your code and responsible for pushing it to production.· Follow Agile values and principles. We break product development work into small increments so we can add value sooner.· Be data driven. We use metrics to guide our development and validate new functionalities.· Work with CI / CD pipelines. We don’t like wasting time with manual, error-prone deployment work.Requirements:· Academic background in Computer Science or STEM fields is OK but not exclusive. IMPORTANT to be able to sign a University agreement.· Proficiency in Backend languages (extra kudos for OOP and Java)· Proficiency in SQL.· Experience building REST APIs.· Basic knowledge and experience working with distributed systems and cloud providers.· You feel comfortable working with Git (or any other distributed version control system).· You write clean and maintainable code.· You have a big appetite to learn and improve your back-end skills.· You are proactive and responsible.· You have strong verbal and written English communication skills.What we offer:We embrace 100% remote working and hybrid working models.Good work environment is very important for us.Cultural diversity and international teams.Are you interested in joining an ambitious and close-knit team dedicated to solving meaningful customer problems?
