WHAT TO EXPECTGates Industrial Europe is seeking skilled Industrial & Manufacturing IT professionals to join our teams across Europe, with opportunities in Balsareny, Spain; Nevers, France; Dumfries, UK; Legnica, Poland; Karvina, Czech Republic; and Izmir, Turkey. These positions are Key to providing uninterrupted support for our shop floor systems region-wide and aiding the smooth regional deployment of the SAP S/4 Hana ERP system. Working full-time from Gates P.T. Spain, you will be hired as a System Engineer Specialist IT/OT. Gates Power Transmission Spain is situated in Balsareny, approximately 40 minutes away from Barcelona. With a rich history spanning over 30 years, our facility specializes in the production of belts, contributing to a yearly output of over 15 million belt units. The majority of our production caters to the Automotive Aftermarket and Automotive Original Equipment Manufacturers sector, while about 5% serves the industrial market. In this position, the ideal candidate will be instrumental in offering support and innovative solutions during this pivotal project, taking on hands-on responsibilities in the maintenance and optimization of key hardware and software within our manufacturing operations. Responsibilities will include working with MES, CMMS, QMS, SCADA systems, and contributing directly to the SAP S/4 Hana project team.Key responsibilities (on top of the above): Maintain and support a variety of Manufacturing IT and OT hardware and software applications. Ensure seamless operation of applications including MES, QMS, CMMS, SCADA, OPC, LMS among others. Oversee and assist with technology stacks including Wonderware/Aveva Intouch/Historian, Microsoft as well as SAP Manufacturing, SAP PM, SAP QM. Comply with global IT service delivery and change management protocols. ABOUT YOUBachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related disciplines. A minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing IT/OT support setting. Certifications: (Preferred but not required) Any of the following would be considered a plus: CAP, CMfgE, CISSP, CCNA Industrial, Microsoft Certified: Azure IoT Developer Specialty, Azure Developer/Database Administrator Associate, MCSA/D/E in SQL 2016 Database Development or .NET, VB, C#, Lean Six Sigma, SCADA Systems Certification.Required Skills and Attributes: A solid foundation in industrial/manufacturing systems, especially Wonderware- / Aveva and Microsoft technologies. Keen understanding of IT/OT Manufacturing applications, including SAP Manufacturing systems and Wonderware/Aveva solutions. Good grasp of manufacturing operations and processes. Strong communication skills and the ability to work within cross-functional teams. An adaptable and problem-solving mindset. Openness to travel up to 30% within the EMEA region for project support.Physical Demands and Work Environment:The role may involve prolonged periods of sitting and requires manual dexterity and close vision. May necessitate working within a manufacturing environment, adhering to safety standards. Predominantly office-based with a moderate noise level, some on-call and weekend work could be expected.
