SYSTEM ENGINEER

As a System Engineer, you will be responsible for Tier 2 level support for the platforms and applications of a Global IT infrastructure. You will work with a wide variety of the latest technologies (Ansible, Python, Git, Jenkins, Nexus, AWX, Puppet and Terraform), and collaborate with some of the best in the industry. It is a challenging role within a rapidly expanding company with a great work ethos that values its employees and invests in their development.This position is open in Malaga and Madrid; you should be based in one of these cities or willing to relocate and work in a Hybrid model (3 days at home and 2 in the office).RESPONSIBILITIESProvide Tier 2 troubleshooting on a wide range of incidents, ranging from web services, platforms, infrastructure, network, security, telecommand applications.Provide technical guidance and assistance to Tier 1 Support.Work closely with or escalate to Tier 3 groups including System Administrators, Security, DevOps, etc.Create and maintain SOPs (Standard Operation Procedures).Identify potential system problems and escalate to internal or external teams for resolution.Continuously develop and improve on technical aptitudeParticipate in special projects as required.REQUIREMENTSExceptional troubleshooting skills in at least one of the following: Linux/Unix, MS Windows Server 2012/2016, shell bash scripting.Strong understanding of networking including TCP/IP, routing, LAN, and WAN.Highly motivated with a sense of ownership, autonomous, detail-oriented, highly organized, and quick to adapt to changes.Agile learner.Computer Science degree, technical certificate or similar training/certification.3+ years similar experienceExcellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to work on a rotational shift basis, on weekends, and outside of typical business hoursNON-ESSENTIAL BUT DESIRABLEExperience providing remote support for end users and systemsExperience with applications based on Java, JEE, MSSQL, MySQLITIL® Foundation certification.The above list of duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and the post holder will be required to undertake tasks that are reasonably expected within the scope and grading of the postHybrid working (3 days at home and 2 in the office)Corporate pension planFree health insurance for the whole familyFree English and Spanish language classesFree psychotherapy sessionsGym membership subsidyFree Life insuranceFun socials – from weekly happy hour drinks to big seasonal eventsFree breakfast, snacks and drinks in the officeJoin us!
