TECH ASSURANCE MANAGER & DATA ANALYST

Role Title.
Technology Assurance Manager & Data Analyst Location.
Newbury or Paddington   Role Purpose   The 2nd Line Assurance function will be responsible for monitoring and mitigating key technology risks, driving a risk awareness culture and promoting a risk-sensitive approach to processes, architectures, applications and platforms within Technology.
The key technology risks currently in scope for Assurance are Cyber Security, Technology Resilience, IT Transformation, Shadow IT and Lifecycle Management.
We monitor risk by working closely with local markets and Group functions; testing key controls established in our policies.
We mitigate risk by identifying corrective actions and reporting to key stakeholders, including the Technology leadership team and various board committees.
The purpose of this role is to lead assurance reviews covering a broad range of key technology risks with a specific focus on the main risks within the scope of Assurance as well as any other relevant Technology risks relevant for Vodafone, working closely with local markets.
Data driven assurance and automation are also part of our Assurance strategy and priorities to ensure our assurance activities are relevant, timely, wide-ranging and efficient with the aim of improving the value add to Vodafone operations and markets.
As a result, the role will also entail driving the implementation of the data and automation assurance strategy in collaboration with the Technology Assurance team and wider business.
You will be required to guide management with governance and control implementation in line with related policies by identifying corrective actions where gaps exist and report this to key stakeholders (which includes the Technology Leadership Team and various Board Committees).
A clear communication of risks, expectations and recommendations internally and to third parties is key for this role.
This role requires a high calibre individual with a strong growing strategy mind-set and understanding of technology risk, architectures and its evolutions.
The role also requires a degree of data analytics and automation skills so that you help assess, evolve and implement our data and automation assurance strategy through continuous improvement in relation to programs, processes and the overall culture.
What you’ll do   Transform the way that Vodafone manages risk, so that we achieve the risk tolerance targets as set by the Board.
Lead risk management/assurance/compliance reviews/controls testing across Vodafone Technology (Mobile Network and IT) to determine high areas of risk, working closely with local markets.
Execute part of the governance for Vodafone’s key technology risks up to Board level, including reporting to and managing senior stakeholders.
Perform an analysis on Vodafone technology to determine high areas of risk.
Support the design of the end-to-end assurance strategy.
Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies to help drive the implementation of our assurance data and automation strategy.
Interpret data, analyse results and provide ongoing reports to provide assurance insights and identify trends or patterns that help better identify and manage risks.
Who you are   An awareness of risk management, including developing governance, consistent processes and a thriving risk culture in the organisation.
Experience in IT audit including application audits, technical testing, general control reviews, data analytics and driving data driven second line assurance.
Technology assurance, compliance or risk management experience (managing reviews, report writing and presenting findings).
Experience with developing, implementing and testing risk, policies and controls.
Strong stakeholder management skills, documentation and presentation skills.
The ability to grasp technical concepts rapidly and to articulate these concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyse, and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy without losing sight of the big picture.
Technology savvy with skills in automation and reporting (i.

Excel, Power BI, Qlik View, etc.) At least one risk, audit, or governance certification e.
