The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading technical initiatives, providing guidance and mentorship to a team of engineers, and driving the cross-product delivery of high-quality reference implementation to demonstrate core GDP product and services capabilities across multiple brands and business units. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, architect scalable solutions, and ensure alignment with business objectives and best practices. You will collaborate with other leads, data engineers, architects to develop scalable, reliable, and secure solutions that enable data-driven decision-making and drive business growth.You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify and deliver cross-cutting use cases that drive marketing outcomes to our end. You will partner closely with each product’s Product Owner and the Tech Product Lead, Data Analyst and Data Integration Lead with a focus on assisting with cross-brand, cross-division and cross-product data analysis of the products for timely product development and also the rollout of these products to our global brands and divisions.Specifically, you will be accountable to drive data engineering architecture, insights and data driven decision making between GDPs SSO (Single-Sign-On) product comprised of Consent management, Identity and single-sign-on experience for our consumers (Pet Parents and Pet Owners), CDP (Customer Data Platform), CRM (Customer Relationship Management), DAM (Digital Asset Management) and CMS (Content Management System and the frontend experience). You will also connect with brand and divisional data stewards to ensure the requirements are well understood, aligned and drive towards a comprehensive analysis, scoping and product development of our products for each brand and division across different countries and regions.Key Responsibilities Lead a team of software engineers to design, develop, and deliver high-quality cross-product reference implementation as well as cross-cutting marketing use cases that meet business requirements and technical specifications and demonstrate the capabilities of GDP products and services to its wider internal audienceProvide technical guidance, mentorship, and coaching to team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learningCollaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements, prioritize feature development, and plan sprints and releasesArchitect scalable, reliable, and maintainable software systems and components that support the needs of our multi-brand global enterprise.Oversee the reference implementation and management needs of cross-product capabilities like CDP, CRM, SSO, DAM and CMS.Lead code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and quality guidelinesWork closely with cross product engineering and data engineering teams to ensure data quality, integrity, and accessibility for business analysis and reporting purposesLead technical initiatives, drive process improvements, and contribute to the overall technical strategy and roadmap of the organizationCommunicate findings and recommendations to senior product and engineering leadership and executive teams through architectural details, sequence diagrams, data models and abstracted presentation to communicate cross-product data architecture to drive alignment and consistencyMentor and coach team members, provide technical guidance and leadership, and foster a culture of continuous learning and innovationStay current on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in software development, architecture, and engineeringMUST HAVE Martech experienceProven experience in digital transformationSalesforce Marketing Cloud experience (certification is a plus)Experience with Data Integration (Treasure Data is a plus)Strong technical expertise in software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices.Proficiency in Java is must. In addition, one or more programming languages and frameworks (e.g., , Python, JavaScript, React, Angular, Node.js).Hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms and services ideally on Azure Cloud.Strong understanding of database technologies (e.g., relational databases, NoSQL databases, data warehouses).Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and drive change across organizational boundaries.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices is requiredNICE TO HAVE Experience working with global multi-brand company.Awareness of data privacy regulations and a commitment to ensuring compliance in data-related activities.Time zone overlap requirements: GMT+2Estimated Duration: 12 months renewableFull-time dedication (40 hours/week)At Andela, we know our strengths lie in our diverse community whose talents, perspectives, backgrounds, and orientations we take pride in.
