TELECOMMUNICATIONS ENGINEER (RF)

FOSSA Systems is a Spanish space engineering company dedicated to the manufacture of satellites to provide cost-effective and secure IoT solutions to companies with assets in remote areas. What do we do? FOSSA has verticalized the manufacturing process of satellites, space operations and ground segment services, with an operations and production centre in Madrid together with a global network of satellites in orbit and satellite control stations. FOSSA is combining technological miniaturization with mass production techniques to launch a network of 80 of these satellites in orbit. FOSSA launches a higher number of distributed satellite constellations at a fraction of the cost of a traditional single satellite. Lower satellite costs and shorter development times allow the use of more cutting-edge technology which is competitive with existing solutions. Who are we looking for? We are actively looking for a telecommunications engineer or similar to continue the development of our internal RF design and testing capabilities. At FOSSA we develop, manufacture and validate multitude of different RF systems. From power optimize devices for our IoT Nodes to complex SDR based systems that will be flown into space. You will be able to participate in the different steps of the development cycle for all our internal RF developments in ground, space and user segments. Responsibilities: Development and simulation of filters, amplifiers, and other types of RF electronic designs. (UHF & SBand) Antenna and RF circuit simulation. Development and execution of testing campaigns for the systems developed. Assistance as technical expert on management and administration of operations and spectrum licenses. Profile: Graduate in telecommunications engineering or similar. 1 to 3 years of minimum related experience. (Development of related personal projects will be considered as experience) Knowledge about modulations and communications protocols for IoT devices.
