ORONA’s activities are focused on the design, manufacture, installation, maintenance, and modernisation of lifts, escalators, moving ramps and walkways. Operating in 100 countries, we have 300,000 lifts worldwide using our technology. With 2 manufacturing plants Orona is Number 1 in Europe in terms of complete lift production capacity.
Orona currently have a number of opportunities for candidates with Mechanical/Electrical Engineering backgrounds to join our growing organisation. We are looking for Mechanical or Electrical Engineers who are looking for the first or next step in their career, Orona's Transferable Skills Programme will help you to gain the knowledge and experience to work as an independent Lift Engineer.
You will be trained by our experienced Lift Engineers and Technical Department to learn and understand the company and requirements of our industry. Depending on your learning progress, you will then be enrolled for the NVQ level 3 course within either the Installation or Maintenance of Lifts.
To be successfully shortlisted for thisTrainee Lift Engineer Programme we are looking for candidates with the below experience/skills:
Mechanical or Electrical background demonstrated either through Education or through recent work experience
Ideally possess one of the following;
Level 2 Foundation Course in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering,
Level 2 Performing Engineering Operations
BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical Engineering
The ability to follow instructions and ensuring safety guidelines are followed at all time
Demonstrate a willingness to develop and learn new skills.
