About UsKohana Group was created in 2024 to invest in the strong current and future growth of the hospitality and residential real estate markets of Spain and Portugal. These markets are large but inefficient, and the vast majority of assets are owned locally and in need of modern upgrades.We will source, renovate, and bring to market upscale hospitality and residential properties that meet the exacting standards of today’s traveler and buyer. Our focus is on sourcing off-market transactions and targeting sectors and markets with favorable supply/demand dynamics. The founders, Randy A. Kohana (CEO) and Jonathan P. Kohana (President and COO), collectively have 50+ years in real estate and will direct these efforts from offices in Madrid.Kohana Group will target EUR 500 million in transaction volume within the next three years.The PositionThe Transaction & Originations Intern will be tasked with canvassing local brokers, real estate owners, developers, and other interested parties to source transactions which fit Kohana Group’s investment mandate. The role will cover aspects of sales, market research, and investing. The role will be 6 months in duration and may lead to a full-time position dependent on company need and candidate performance. This position will report to the President and COO.The ideal candidate must either be a recent MBA graduate or professional with 3-5 years’ experience in real estate brokerage, development, investment, or advisory. The candidate must have strong written and verbal skills, Excel training, and must speak English and Spanish. Salary will be competitive and will be discussed directly with the candidate.
