Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Vice President of Acquisitions & Divestitures (A&D) within the Johnson & Johnson Technology (JJT) organization, based in New Brunswick, NJ.
Reporting to the CIO of Corporate Business Technology, this key leadership role will be responsible for overseeing the A&D Program/Project Management group and driving global and regional deals.
The VP will lead the resource plan, budget and multiple strategic A&D programs, while providing regular updates to senior leadership.
The role requires collaboration with Deal Leads, Functional Leads, Architects, and Data Strategy teams to develop A&D strategies and ensure the successful integration and divestiture of programs.

Key Responsibilities.
Collaborate with pre-close teams to capture and report deal activities across Business Development groups.
Lead the overall A&D IT investment portfolio during the post-close phase of A&D programs.
Maintain the post-close section of the portfolio tracker, issuing monthly progress reports to JJT senior leaders and the A&D Community of Practice.
Raise critical issues to Deal Leaders or VP A&D when needed.
Lead a team that provides program and project management services for acquisitions, divestitures, licensing, collaborations, and more.
Develop short-term and long-term program management strategies tailored to deal characteristics.
Build and refine program/project management capabilities, including planning, scheduling, managing critical paths, and maintaining program budgets.
Lead the regional execution of global plans, as defined by Deal and Functional team leads, ensuring consistency across regions.
Lead all aspects of the development, management, and execution of TSAs, ensuring they are properly organized, costed and implemented post-close.
Identify, develop and nurture project management talent within the A&D organization.
Train and coach high-potential candidates on the A&D process, incorporating them into the A&D organization on a rotational basis.
Maintain and curate the program/project management portion of the JJT A&D Playbook, ensuring that it is up-to-date and that team members are trained on its contents.
Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives across the A&D organization, improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the program.
Work closely with the pre-close team to ensure smooth transitions from pre-close to post-close phases.
Assist Deal Leads in ensuring program structure and methodologies align with deal drivers and business objectives.
Establish change management and communication efforts for deals, consolidating lessons learned for future application.
Qualifications Bachelor’s level degree or equivalent in a technology related field such as Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology.
Master's level degree is preferred.
Minimum of 15-years’ experience working within a technology related field Extensive experience in program and project management within the context of A&D, with a deep understanding of M&A processes and the role of various participants.
Consistent track record in managing large, complex programs with multiple interdependencies.
Strong background in developing and leading high-performing teams, with experience in agile methodologies.
Strong leadership capabilities, with the ability to make decisive, data-driven decisions quickly.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, capable of explaining A&D technology strategies to business partners.
Ability to thrive in highly ambiguous environments and facilitate cross-functional dialogues to resolve issues efficiently.
Strong problem-solving skills and a bias towards execution and delivery.
Demonstrated ability to model Credo values, building trust, transparency and effective solutions across business and IT functions.
Dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs.
Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan.
The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year.
Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
