To achieve this, we carry out rigorous selection processes that ensure it.Job Overview:Quality Control Engineer (Welding Engineer) has responsibilities of reviewing all Vendor manufacturing documents (e.g. Manufacturing Purchase Specification, Inspection and Test Plan, Welding Dossier, Heat Treatment Procedures, Test Procedures, NDE Procedures) to assure that they comply with Design and Manufacturing Codes and Standards and with specific Project Specifications. He reports to Procurement QC Manager (Project) and to the Head of Inspection Department (Corporate).Key Tasks and Responsibilities:Review of Project Specifications (Manufacturing, quality Control). Detection of inconsistencies, ambiguous interpretation or unusual requirements that could impact on price or Schedule.Review and comment all Vendor manufacturing documents of the assigned Purchase Orders (e.g. Reactors, Columns, Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Air Coolers, Fired Heaters, Reformers, Package Units, Piping Material). Main documents are: Welding Dossier, Inspection and Test Plan, Manufacturing Purchase Specification, Heat Treatment Procedure, Hydro/Leak/Pneumatic Test Procedure, Visual/Dimensional Control Procedure, Ferrite Test Procedure, Hardness Test Procedure, PMI Procedure, etc.Issue Technical Queries/Deviation Request to the Client when needed.Support to the Project Inspection Team in NCR resolution, and to all matters related to manufacturing of equipment/material.To have a fluent communication with Vendors in order to assure that Vendor understand all comments and Project requirements, with the aim to achieve a smooth manufacturing process.Effective communicator and desired to have problem solving skills.Essential Qualifications and Education:Bachelor's Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.International Welding Engineer / Certified Welding Inspector (CWI/CSWIP)5+ years’ experience in quality control of manufacturing and welding processes of static equipment, valves and piping components. Experience in producing/reviewing manufacturing and quality documents.Deep knowledge of ASME, API, ANSI, NACE Codes.Experienced in most used materials in Oil & Gas industry (Carbon Steel, Low Alloy Steel, Austenitic Stainless Steel, Duplex Stainless Steel, Ni Alloys, etc.)Knowledge on NDTs (PT, MT, UT, RT, ET)Fluent English written and spoken (B2-C1)Based in Madrid, can be required occasional business trips.We offer:Very interesting and key EPC projects within oil&gas/energy sector.Flexible time table, one two/week remote work.Competitive salary depending on experience.We offer specific adaptation of the job for people with a Disability Certificate of 33% or higher
