We are hiring a talented Wind Engineer to join our team to contribute to the ongoing innovative EU R&D projects, as well as support the implementation of the ambitious road map planned for to our IT platform. We pride ourselves on the flexibility we offer to our employees and are committed to building a workforce that can grow personally and professionally within Youwind.This is a full-time on-site role for a Wind Engineer for innovative EU R&D projects. The Wind Engineer will be responsible for supporting research and development activities related to offshore wind projects, which will be applied to the development of new features needed by the industry. You will use your expertise in computer science, physics, and algorithms to develop and optimize wind farm designs, among others. The role involves collaborating with the Youwind team, analyzing data, and implementing cutting-edge solutions for wind farm planning, modelling and optimization.Key requirements Strong background in Aerospace, Mechanical or Electrical Engineers, or Physics. Master's degree level requiredExperience in the wind energy sector and familiarity with wind park control systems, from 2 to 5 years experience is preferred.Ability to coordinate technology research and development across academic institutions and companies in Europe.Collaborative software development experience. Preferably programming experience with Python, or alternatively MATLAB, Ruby, Julia.JavaScript coding skills will be positively valuedStrong attention to detail and ability to work independentlyExcellent communication and reporting skills, in English.
