YIELD ASSESSMENT & DD ENGINEER

From the LHH Energy we collaborate with an important investment and asset management firm of renewable energy that is looking for a YIELD ASSESSMENT & DD ENGINEER with a strong technical background having experience in the Wind or Solar industry to support the Operations team in Europe FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION Support in the technical assessment of potential asset acquisition.
Give support on performance of full technical due diligence (yield assessment, performance review, contract review, Compliance, technological review, site visit…) Wind assessment.
Apply wind flow and wake models.
Site conditions and turbine supplier site suitability analysis.
Micro-siting of wind turbines.
Wind measurement data cleaning and handling.
Perform uncertainty analysis on energy production estimates for pre-construction and operational asset, using different methods or weather data.
Validate pre-construction energy estimates with operational data and implement improvements to pre-construction analysis technique.
Evaluate and challenge third party yield assessment analysis.
Evaluate new wind turbine models and LCOE.
Report analysis methods and results in a concise customer friendly matter.
Always be aware of improvement and R&D programs with a goal of maintaining industry leading technical standards.
Analysis of operational projects checking the historical performance and define future operational P50.
Solar PV yield assessment, as well as hybridized plant and other technologies.
Implement and maintain the systems and tools needed for the yield assessment of asset, under development or under operation, integrate them within the company asset management system.
Cooperate with the team to leverage technical knowledge for the due diligence, create a database of technical know-how and evaluation criteria.
Participate to the optimization and innovation program of the company to evaluate and monitor improvement on operational plants.
Preparation of analyses and reports for investors.
Analysis, review and preparation of digital map information using GIS tools.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE Knowledge in hydrogen and batteries will be highly appreciated.
Good mathematical/statistical background.
Good working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft VBA.
Experience in using specialized wind assessment Software.
Experience in GIS tools Requisitos Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics (data science).
Master’s degree is highly valued Advanced English, level test will be performed.
+3 years of experience in wind assessment in a renowned organization.
Experience in technical due diligence for a large diversity (location and technological) of asset will be appreciated.
Experience in asset management will be appreciated.
Experience in solar PV yield assessment will be appreciated.
International experience will be highly appreciated.
