ACCOUNTING SENIOR MANAGER

MN8 is headquartered in New York with offices in Boca Raton, Florida and Madrid.Position Overview:We are looking for a Senior Accounting Manager to supervise, track and evaluate day-to-day accounting activities for about half of our operating fleet. Additionally, the accounting manager will train senior and junior accountants, oversee their daily work and solve unforeseen issues of the accounting process.We are also looking for someone to work closely with our accounting management team. The Accounting Manager will report to the Accounting Operations Director.As Accounting Sr Manager, you will: Manage and oversee the daily operations of the operating fleet including:month and end-year processaccounts payable/receivablereconcile cashjournal entry oversight, bookings and automationHigh level actual vs budget analysisrevenue and expenditure variance analysisfixed asset activitydebt activityMonitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.Train project accountants on standards and procedures.Ad hoc requests for entity financial data using Microsoft Excel.Interface with other departments including asset management, tax, FP&A, financial reporting.Coordinate and complete annual audits.Evaluate current practices and procedures and provide recommendations for improvement.Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.Meet financial accounting objectives.Our ideal candidate will have:Advanced level of English (verbal & written).At least 6-8 years of proven working experience as Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager.Understanding of US GAAPAdvanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases.Ability to manipulate large amounts of data.Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.Highly organized and proven ability to meet tight deadlines.High attention to detail and accuracy.Problem-solving capacity: autonomy and independence to perform their functions and have resources to solve unforeseen events without help.Excellent communication skills.Ability to direct and supervise.Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, Economics, Accounting, or equivalent field.Experience in Yardi or Onestream ERPs is a plus.Experience in renewable energy is a plus.How we set you up for Success:At AIRS, an affiliate of MN8 Energy LLC, we cultivate a culture of equity, through transparency and accessibility, where everyone thrives.
