This position ensures seamless integration, performance, and security of IT/OT networks in regulated environments.
With Novartis's global network undergoing a significant transformation aligned with business goals and technology advancements, we are actively seeking an experienced Associate Director for Infrastructure Services- Lab Network with deep expertise in OT (Operational technology) networks and a strong engineering background.
About the Role Your key responsibilities.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to.
Responsible for strategizing, designing, and establishing specifications, standards, and reference architecture for secure, high-speed networks in Wired, Wireless, and LAN Segmentation for the OT environment Understand and translate enterprise needs into implementable technology solutions to enable long-term success and future-oriented design ensuring they meet regulatory compliance and performance standards.
Develop network roadmaps and strategies, working with various other domain architects to align technology and service roadmaps for the manufacturing and laboratory network.
Drive new technology/product/solution evaluations, provide leadership in the identification of specific technology standards for secure and scalable production and laboratory networks.
Lead product/solution Proof of Concept with other domain architects/engineers etc.
Take ownership of upholding Security and Compliance policies and procedures within the enterprise's solution architecture scope.
Observing day to day operations closely to understand the challenges and ensure stability of research laboratory and production environment ensuring minimal downtime and high availability.
Closely working with business and local IT/OT team to be aligned with business need and ensure stable operations.

What you’ll bring to the role.
7-10 years of experience in IT/OT networking with a focus on industrial and lab/manufacturing environments within the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries, largely in an engineering and architect role.
4 years of experience in the areas of designing and solutioning wired, wireless networks and security controls for OT environment.
Strong exposure and experience with Palo Alto, Cisco and other advance security stacks.
Deep understanding of network & security concepts and familiar with industrial control systems (ICS), SCADA, lab automation systems and PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) used in lab and manufacturing settings Desirable requirements.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or higher.
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or higher.
Certified Automation Professional (CAP)
