BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER - AUTOMOTIVE CYBERSECURITY TESTING SERVICES

We are Applus+ Laboratories, the division of the Applus+ Group that provides testing, certification and product development engineering services.At the IT & CYBERSECURITY laboratories, we are accredited to carry out a wide range of security evaluations for payment, identification and IT security schemes.We are experts in assessing embedded systems to ensure that these devices can work together in a robust security environment.We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to lead and expand our cybersecurity testing services within the automotive sector across Europe.This role will focus on driving growth and building strong relationships with key industry players, including Tier 1 suppliers and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).A deep understanding of automotive cybersecurity standards and regulations, such as ISO 21434 and UN R155, is essential.What will your day-to-day work be like?Business Growth: Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to promote and sell cybersecurity testing services to Tier 1 suppliers and OEMs in the automotive industryClient Relationships: Establish, maintain, and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders in the automotive sector, understanding their cybersecurity needs and providing tailored solutionsMarket Expansion: Identify new business opportunities, expand the company’s presence within the European automotive market, and ensure alignment with industry trends and regulationsRegulatory Expertise: Utilize in-depth knowledge of ISO 21434 and UN R155 regulations to guide clients in implementing cybersecurity best practices and compliance standardsIndustry Knowledge: Leverage your expertise in the automotive sector, focusing on cybersecurity risks and challenges specific to Tier 1 suppliers and OEMsMultilingual Communication: Communicate effectively in English. Proficiency in German and French is highly preferred to cater to a diverse European client baseCollaboration: Work closely with the technical and engineering teams to ensure service offerings meet client expectations and adhere to industry regulationsReporting & Analysis: Track and report business development progress, providing insights into market trends, customer needs, and opportunities for growthRequirements:Proven Experience: 5+ years of experience in business development, with a focus on cybersecurity services within the automotive sectorIndustry Knowledge: Strong understanding of Tier 1 suppliers, OEMs, and the overall automotive supply chain in EuropeRegulatory Expertise: Deep knowledge of ISO 21434 and UN R155 regulations for automotive cybersecurityLanguages: Fluent in English (mandatory); proficiency in German and/or French is highly desirable.Technical Understanding: Familiarity with cybersecurity testing services and solutions in the automotive industrySales & Negotiation Skills: Excellent business acumen, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing long-term client relationshipsWe offer:Full-time position in our laboratory in Barcelona; options could be considered for our laboratory in MadridThe successful candidate will go through a training program, in order to develop and strengthen their technical knowledgeOptions to grow or take in additional responsibilities are availableFlexible remuneration plan (medical insurance, transport, nursery, restaurant tickets).Parking for employeesOpportunity to shape the future of automotive cybersecurity in EuropeCompetitive salary and performance-based incentivesIf you are passionate about cybersecurity and want to be part of a team of great experts, this is the company for you!Applus+ Laboratories is an equal opportunity employer.
