Join Linkcare Bioscreening as CEO to Lead the VαMPiRE ProjectLinkcare Bioscreening is advancing its VαMPiRE project "Validation of α-synuclein Modifications in Parkinson’s dIsoRder Evolution" to address a critical need in Parkinson's disease early diagnostics.VαMPiRE aims to establish a reliable, non-invasive diagnostic tool to facilitate early intervention, improve disease management, and advance research into therapeutic strategies for Parkinson's disease. Building on our expertise in cost-effective diagnostic innovations, Vampire has shown significant promise in early validation studies.With the support of the COO, CTO, CSO the candidate will lead the incorporation of BIOSOMIC TECHNOLOGIES, a spin-off to transform this groundbreaking research into market-ready solutions, leveraging our status as a registered European in-vitro diagnostics manufacturer. The spin-off will be based in the vibrant Barcelona, one of Europe’s leading biotech hubs.About the RoleWe seek an entrepreneurial and visionary CEO to guide BIOSOMIC TECHNOLOGIES from its current project-focused stage to a fully operational biotech startup. The CEO will lead the spin-off formation, drive fundraising efforts, and create strategic partnerships, aiming to launch the spin-off by late-2025.This role demands a leader who can seamlessly align scientific breakthroughs with business objectives, ensuring the successful commercialization of VαMPiRE's project outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesSpin-Off Incorporation: Lead the incorporation process, creating a solid financial, legal, and operational framework for sustainable growth.Fundraising & Investor Relations: Develop and execute a compelling fundraising strategy, engage with investors, and secure financial backing.Strategic Leadership: Craft the business plan, regulatory pathway, and market strategy to align scientific innovation with business priorities.Market Positioning: Conduct market research to refine competitive positioning, identify target markets, and articulate a clear value proposition.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with EU and international regulatory standards, collaborating with relevant authorities to secure approvals.Partnerships & Collaboration: Build and nurture relationships with industry leaders, academic institutions, and regulatory bodies to drive growth.QualificationsEssential: Advanced degree in biology, biochemistry, medical diagnostics, or pharmaceutical related field (Ph.D. preferred).Desirable: Business training (e.g., MBA or equivalent) is a plus.ExperienceEssential: Familiarized in the role of private fundraising for startups and C-level leadership in biotech, diagnostics, or health tech.Desirable: Background in in-vitro diagnostics or early disease screening technologies.Core SkillsEntrepreneurial mindset with hands-on leadership capabilities.Strong communication, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills.Visionary ability to bridge scientific excellence and commercial success.Our MissionLinkcare Health Services is committed to advancing global healthcare through innovative diagnostic solutions for cancer and neurodegenerative disease screening.
