The Vodafone Internet of Things (IoT) platform is designed to meet the needs of global IoT customers and is protected by Vodafone IPR.
To support this key strategic growth area, IoT requires a highly capable and experienced Enterprise Architect to join the IoT technology team leading the cloud strategy and architecture.
The role includes building the strategy and roadmap for migrating the IoT platform to the cloud, supporting our vision of reaching 1 billion connections.
The right individual should have a deep understanding of public cloud technologies, as well as be able to interact with senior business stakeholders.
Joining us as an Enterprise Architect in Group Technology you will be accountable for defining the way we consume cloud services.

Ready?”   Role Purpose.
Lead the definition and drive the execution of the technology strategy for use of cloud services (IaaS and PaaS).
Lead the technology selection process for cloud services, in order to make collaborative and balanced decisions on which cloud providers to use for which functions for the IT applications.
Develop a cloud architecture which is highly scalable, automated, cost efficient and easy to consume for our engineering team.
Collaboratively develop a roadmap for change, to guide the engineering teams on how the journey to cloud will be enabled over time and which investments are needed.
Set the standards and principles for use of cloud services.
Participate in the execution of Architectural Governance across the relevant.
stakeholders to ensure projects follow the standards, guidelines and roadmap.
Core competencies, knowledge and experience.
Hands on, practical experience designing and implementing cloud infrastructure, in one or more of AWS, Azure and OCI.
Enterprise Architecture and technology strategy execution, including writing blueprints, white papers, roadmaps and standards documents.
Proven experience of conducting technical workshops, presenting technical solutions, preparing architecture guidelines and technical strategy documents.
Commercial accumen and experience of having optimised cloud consumption costs within a complex IT ecosystem (~100 applications and €ms of spend per anum).
Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and presentation skills.
