DEPUTY MANAGER - MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING

This position will handle manufacturing engineering development, new equipment selection, ordering, process design, prove out, trouble shooting, debugging of issues from production equipment’s in Visctronics line.
Key responsibilities Experience in APQP Process planning (process designing).
Experience to Interpret product design requirement into manufacturing process design considering Safety, Quality, Takt time, Line balancing, Capacity Planning & Production Ramp.
Working experience in Automotive Industries following IATF Lead the Lean manufacturing initiatives including value stream mapping and material flow process optimization, plant layout and material handling process, WIP reduction, Inventory optimization, Build and optimize machine capacity, Manpower scroll, Ergonomics improvement and line throughput improvement etc.
Experience in development of equipment defining the technical specifications, obtain competitive quotes, establish time plan, follow up, Trials at Supplier / Plant locations, interact with facilities and maintenance to hook up utilities, installations, and commissioning of equipment.
Experience in development of Fixtures / Tooling / Gauges required for new projects.
Conduct PTR (Production trial runs) and PPAP runs with significant quantity / time.
Experience in Working closely with Cross Functional Team (Application / Engineering, Procurement, Project management, Manufacturing, Maintenance and Quality) during all phases of product development to optimize process designs for SPQCDM (safety, productivity, quality, cost, delivery / efficiency and maintainability / reliability).
Familiar in utilizing the core tools including MSA, SPC, FMEA, APQP, PPAP and Control plan.
Establishing process control charts, monitoring Poka-Yokes in in-process and prepare standard operating procedures Troubleshoots manufacturing problems and implementing sustainable corrective actions.
Problem solving through 8D principles, lean six sigma tools and techniques.
Knowledge of Pro-e, Catia, Solid work and Analysis software would be an added advantage.
Knowledge on Servo controlled pressing machines,Injection Moulding, Soldering, Epoxy/PU potting, Heat treatment, Coil winding & PCBA assembly process.
Report on Environment, health and safety related issues on the available communication mediums.
Ensure safety audits completion on time and vigilant to safety at workplace for safe working environment.
Knowledge on ISO safety standards.
Safety Incident investigation & Closing responsibility with 8D.
