Finance plays a pivotal role in establishing efficient tools and processes during these transitions and in daily running business.We are currently seeking a motivated, hands-on and dynamic Finance Manager for Spain. In this role, you will oversee and manage our organization’s financial operations for Spain (hubs Madrid & Barcelona) from our office in Madrid. Utilizing your exceptional people management skills, you will inspire and motivate your team and follow up the team structure with a keen focus on growth.As Finance Manager Spain you'll report directly to the Finance Manager of the QbD Group, located in HQ Antwerp.What do we expect from you as a Finance Manager?Financial management:You lead the accounting team (also responsible for payroll) and invoicing team. You will manage a total of about 4 FTE's.You are responsible, together with the controller, for:Monthly closuresFollow-up monthly VAT returnsTimely and accurate invoicingCredit management (dunning)Coordination of end year closuresContact and collaboration with the external tax advisorInvolvement in auditsYou have a strong accounting and tax backgroundYou have a keen eye for optimizing existing processes and driving continuous improvement. You are able to identify areas for enhancement, streamline workflows and implement efficient solutionsPeople management:You set clear expectations, goals and performance standards. You motivate and inspire the team members to achieve their full potentialYou conduct performance reviews twice a year in collaboration with HR , and develop plans to address areas of improvement or development needsYou collaborate with the HR team in the recruitment and selection processWho are we looking for?You hold a master’s degree in economics or finance and demonstrate a profound understanding of finance & accountingYou are proactive and practical, with a strong ‘getting things done’ attitude. You’re willing to immerse yourself in the operational detailsYou have a proven track record of effectively managing teams. You possess the skills to lead, motivate and inspire a group of professionals toward achieving common goals.You are able to understand and follow group policies and make sure that these are properly followed by the local (Spanish) team.Effective communication (in Spanish and English) is vital in this role. You are able to adapt your communication style to various audiences and maintain open and transparent dialogue with local and group (finance) management. Fluent English is a must!
