About the jobWe are looking for a highly motivated, experienced hospitality General Manager to join our pre-opening team at the Palacio de Godoy Caceres ,Curio Collection By Hilton. You will be responsible for the strategic initiatives of the hotel and the company tied to business expansion, growth, and the necessary cultural evolution to support both. The function should be supportive, proactive, analytical and entrepreneurial; creating memorable moments for our guests, fostering an empowered environment for the team whilst working closely with all key business partners in order to achieve quality results.The Palacio de Godoy Cáceres, Curio Collection by Hilton, will be situated in one of the city’s former palaces in the old town of Cáceres. The hotel will feature 72 rooms, including eight suites, a restaurant and bar serving typical food and drinks, meeting and event space, a spa, fitness center, indoor pool, and rooftop bar.Duties & ResponsibilitiesEnsure the smooth running of the hotel, where all areas of the business are managed and the guest service experience is delivered to the highest levels, ensuring both property and company standards are attained and adhered to.Working proactively with all key stakeholders to maximize guest satisfaction and comfort, delivering a positive and responsive approach to enquiries and problem resolution.Develops and implements strategies where key hotel metrics are identified, communicated and delivered where reports and tracking tools are reviewed and acted upon to ensure that strategies and initiatives are attained or exceeded.Working with key stakeholders, effectively manages and reviews the life cycle of the team within the hotel, fostering a culture of growth, development and performance whilst reflecting and promoting the company culture and values.Owner of the hotel budget, business and sales plan, ensuring that all areas of the business are controlled. Maximizing sales and profit, business opportunities and brand reputation, productivity and performance.Build and maintain effective working relationship with all key stakeholders and business partners both internal and external ensuring that all communications and activities are controlled and undertaken in a timely manner.Fluent in Spanish & English is a mustReviews and scrutinizes business activities, in accordance with company policy, objectives and best practices, providing recommendations that will drive financial performance and provide added value.Ensures adherence to all legislation where due diligence requirements and best practice activities are planned, delivered and documented for internal and external audit, performing follow-up as required.QualificationsProven experience in a General Management and Food & Beverage department management.Strong problem-solving capabilities with the ability to adapt to changing environmentsExcellent leadership skills with a hands-on approach and lead-by-example work styleCommitment to exceptional guest service with a passion for the hospitality industryOutstanding analytical and strategic skills improving the business from a financial perspectiveExcellent ability to work collaboratively across functions and cultures in a global environmentSkilled with Microsoft Office softwarePrevius experience with ONQ will be valued.An open, positive and communicative personalityStrong communication and listening skills, excellent speaking, reading and writing skillNational academic qualifications / Degree in Hospitality Management preferably5+ years of relevant experience in hospitality managementFluent in Spanish & English is a must
