About The Role Our Compliance team underpins the long-term success of the business by ensuring our products and processes adhere to all regulatory and quality standard requirements.
As a part of this team, your expertise in compliance matters and eye for detail will ensure the best possible outcomes both internally and externally for our customers.
Working independently but also within a team, you will be tasked with identifying regulatory obligations for Revolut, associated risks, as well as suggesting controls to mitigate these risks.
You will be conducting thorough testing in a dynamic, digital, and data-driven environment.

What You’ll Be Doing \r\n \r\n Validating if regulatory obligations are mapped to existing controls for each set of regulations, if it is correct or if controls that should be mapped are missing \r\n Analysing if regulatory and legislative text has been understood in regards to which specific obligations apply to a bank\/financial institution \r\n Verifying whether controls exist and are properly documented to meet regulatory requirements \r\n Reviewing the quality and documentation of decisions made and deliverables created by Escalation officers, FinCrime SMEs, and Compliance Managers across 1LOD and 2LOD \r\n Providing guidance and support to junior team members in conducting the Quality Control checks \r\n Mentoring less-experienced colleagues, helping them understand FinCrime processes \r\n Providing well-informed recommendations for improving existing processes within 2LOD, ensuring alignment with best practices and a diligently documented governance structure \r\n Paying meticulous attention to detail through reviewing work performed by FinCrime regulatory SMEs \r\n Communicating observations and feedback from the reviews performed to stakeholders \r\n Contributing to compliance processes and minimum standards by identifying opportunities for improved adherence to regulatory requirements and company standards \r\n Maintaining and improving the methodology and adjusting the approach to future process changes.
\r\n Reviewing the quality and documentation of decisions made and deliverables created by Escalation officers, FinCrime SME, and Compliance Managers across 1LOD and 2LOD \r\n \r\n What You'll Need \r\n \r\n Experience working in a Fintech, traditional financial institution, or regulatory body \r\n 4+ years of experience working in a Financial Crime area across the three lines of defence.
This may include roles in CDD, AML, Sanction Screening, or Transaction Monitoring or other Financial Crime areas \r\n Experience in interpreting texts from laws or regulations, preferably Financial Services related ones such as The Financial Services and Markets Act , Proceeds of Crime Act or The Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing and Transfer of Funds (Information on the Payer) Regulations or corresponding documents from other jurisdictions \r\n Demonstrated experience in reviewing and providing constructive feedback on the work of peers or team members \r\n An ability to clearly communicate and detail risks and issues when reviewing previously completed work, ideally in a clear and simple-to-understand manner \r\n Knowledge of the best practise FinCrime controls used in the industry \r\n To be results-driven, pragmatic, and have a detailed-oriented approach \r\n An interest in compliance and willingness to deepen your knowledge \r\n Fluency in English, mainly in legal vernacular, both written and spoken \r\n \r\n Nice to have \r\n \r\n A Degree in Law \r\n Proven experience in managing teams and individuals, including the ability to lead, motivate, and develop team members to achieve both individual and collective goals \r\n Experience in payment screening, regulatory reporting, SAR filing, and external enquiries \r\n Knowledge of sanction and PEP regulations \r\n Expertise in rule-based or model-based AML transaction monitoring, threshold tuning, and below-the-line testing \r\n Experience identifying and preventing onboarding risks for retail (KYC) and business (KYB) customers \r\n Knowledge in FCA Handbook or EU AML directives \r\n Relevant experience in assurance, or internal\/external audit, focusing on risk and compliance domains \r\n Familiarity with insurance\/audit reviews \r\n Experience creating or utilising test scripts\/procedures \r\n Relevant financial crime and compliance qualifications, such as ACAMS and ICA \r\n Experience working on financial crime risks \r\n \r\n Building a global financial super app isn’t enough.
