HSE PLANT MANAGER

The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading our efforts to ensure our workplace is safe, healthy, and free of risks to the environment and our community maintaining regulatory compliance with governmental health ,safety and enviroment. Your role will help keep our employees and contractors safe, while keeping our environment safe as well.How You Will Do It:Sustainability Management:• Develop sustainability programs in coordination with local Mgrs. aligned with Corporate goals.• Continue the EMEA energy metering program & software. Identify saving opportunities based on this program.• Develop and execute energy saving projects in the European plants e.g. heat recovery, efficient cooling systems.• JCMS – Energy Hunt implementation and execution.• Monitoring carbon footprints (CO² emission).• Set up sustained carbon reduction and energy awareness campaigns.Facility Management:• Coordinate facility management for HQ, sales offices and plant locations• Develop a facility management program which includes energy reduction (insulation, ventilation), as well as Maintenance activities and services.• Coordinate with project teams new building projects incl. LEED certification.Health & Safety Management:• Initiating accident prevention activities• Analyzing recordable and first aid cases, near misses and occupational illnesses, completing associated reports, proposing and coordinating corrective actions• Coordinating all activities for the safe use of lead and other chemicals• Performing internal safety and environmental audits and report issues to top management• Implementing and maintaining central safety programs and procedures• Maintaining knowledge of relevant statutory legislation• Implement and maintaining internal and external safety rules• Create training programs for safety and safe use of lead• Providing safety trainings to management teams, employees and contractors• Improve and modify Safety Management System to protect organization against litigation and prosecution• Follow recent developments in the legislation and advise company on compliance• Communicate H&S performance to management• Cooperate with purchasing team to identify opportunities for cost savings related to Health and Safety matters.• Organize and implement Standardized personal protective program in order to ensure correct standard personal protective equipment is provided• Potential to take over environmental management tasks Hannover plantWhat We Look For• Required qualificationsEngineering or Bachelors Degree, Health & Safety, Applied Science, Energy or Sustainability qualificationMinimum 5-7 years experience preferably in the manufacturing industryMS Office ( Advanced knowledge of Excel, Powerpoint, Word)Spanish bilingualEnglish communication skills (B2-C1)Your workplace will be either in Spain (Medina del Campo, Valladolid.)• Preferred qualificationsSAP experience FI / COStrong communication skills to effectively disseminate safety information and conduct training sessionsInnovative and practical problem-solving abilities to address enviroment, health and safety challengesProficiency in managing documentation, conducting audits, and maintaining records related to enviroment, health and safety.Attention to detail and accuracyWillingness to learnManagement and Leadership SkillsWho we areClarios is the creator behind the world’s most recognizable car battery brands.
