INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY ENGINEER

We are looking for professionals who excel in managing robust IT/OT systems and providing exceptional technical support, to join our client in Madrid.This role requires efficient problem-solving, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage projects and work collaboratively.Key Responsibilities:Deliver technical support to end-users for IT/OT issues, via phone, online systems, or in person. This includes the configuration of computers and software applications 💻.Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues effectively 🌐; identify and mitigate recurring issues by implementing preventive measures.Handle inquiries and fault reports, whilst producing relevant documentation and maintaining an accurate inventory of IT/OT assets.Conduct capacity analysis and planning, monitor system performance, and coordinate necessary updates or replacements to maintain optimal functionality 📈.Implement best practice security measures, including system hardening and firewalls.Design and implement advanced IT/OT solutions, providing specialised support to technicians in other locations.Work in accordance with ITIL standards ✅ and adhere to ISMS and ISO 27001 regulations.Qualifications and Experience:Degree in Information Technology or equivalent, with substantial work experience. 🎓Strong English communication skills (verbal and written) and excellent interpersonal skills.Familiarity with ticketing systems, remote support tools, and ITIL frameworks.Extensive system and network administration experience 🖥️, including Microsoft Windows (server and end-user) and basic Linux/Unix knowledge.In-depth knowledge of network topologies (routing, switching), WAN/LAN, VPNs, wireless communication, and virtualisation.Awareness of cybersecurity practices🔒, and the ability to analyse and meet business department needs.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, demonstrating high commitment and reliability.
