MANAGER TAX & ACCOUNTING

Manager Tax & Accounting   Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization.
The main purpose of Accounting and Tax Department is to manage and monitor the accounting ledger in accordance with local GAAP and IFRS, managing differences between IRFS and local GAAP of Spain and Portugal.
As well as prepare and deliver the local tax reporting to the respective authorities.
Accounting plays an active role between Global Shared Service Centre (GBS), local Finance and other clients (internal and external) The general purpose is to be a financial expert to the respective business partner by giving recommendations to enable and drive fact-based decision-making.
These functions support the business to achieve fiscal targets.
We are a business partner providing support, guidance, and clarity to group tax for Spain.
We support them in correctly reflecting the group business model, in line with the group tax guidance.
This requires a detailed understanding of the market law and the Trading company, the creation and monitoring of adequate and effective policies and processes, correct and timely reporting as well as in-depth analyses combined with competent and professional business partnering.
Ensure tax compliance of adidas Spain and adidas International Trading AG (Permanent Establishment in Spain) through adequate analysis and accurate reporting.
Key Responsibilities.
Key contact for Group Taxes with respect to local taxes (CIT, Withholding Tax, Local taxes, etc.).
Main contact with the Public Administration (Hacienda Pública y Aduanas) regarding any inspection related to the company.
Perform direct tax reporting to the authorities, support in external tax audits and ensure compliance to local regulations/legislation.
Manage the communication between Market and GBS Organization with regards to taxes Manage R&D deductions as part of CIT declarations.
Acting as an advisor to management on process excellence, scalability, and stronger assurance on critical projects with any fiscal impact.
KPI’s Accuracy and analysis of information provided to stakeholders.
Absence of sanctions by the Tax / Customs Administration.
% Positive results in Tax /Customs inspections.
Quantitative feedback to business partners.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications.
University degree in Economy, Accounting or Business Administration.
Master’s degree in finance management or Accounting, MBA, or similar would-be a plus.
Minimum of 5 years working experience in the respective area in a multinational environment.
Fluent Spanish and English (oral and in writing).
Experience in daily tax management in a Spanish big company will be a plus.
