What Is The Role.
We are seeking a Front End Software Engineer to join the Elastic Opex UI team.
This team is responsible for delivering key user experience features in the Elastic Cloud Console and shaping the technical roadmap for the core cloud UI codebase.
The ideal candidate has experience with modern front-end technologies, particularly React and Angular, and an interest in CI/CD and deployment automation as we work to decouple the UI from our current monolith release process.
This is a high-impact role that offers exposure to both UI/UX development and operational challenges.
What You Will Be Doing.
Develop and maintain user-friendly applications using React and Angular with TypeScript.
Build tooling to manage and deploy the cloud UI as a standalone service.
Ensure high-quality code by maintaining unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and back-end engineers to build, test, and ship features that enhance the cloud user experience.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
Participate in code reviews within and across teams.
What You Bring.
4+ years of experience in a frontend-focused role.
Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and Angular.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
A passion for web development and building great user experiences.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work autonomously in a globally distributed team.
