We are looking for an entrepreneurial individual to drive the definition, execution and management of product initiatives across the company. Someone who can relate to the technical & executive audiences & can zoom in and out of detail as needed to communicate effectively.As a Senior Product Manager in the ECM business, you will drive the product strategy for the cloud native cluster management products in the ECM portfolio. Reporting into the Director of Product Management, in this role you will:Lead the strategy, vision, and go to market for our cloud native workload & infrastructure management productsTranslate market needs into product capabilities and directions & present to key team members including the executive team.Track upstream project roadmaps and ensure the product is aware of relevant updates and features. Evaluate customer and market trends through customer interviews, workload analysis, partnerships, technology innovations, and competitive analysis as part of product planning.Develop detailed understanding of customer use cases and deployment options. Author detailed PR FAQ’sManage the product lifecycle from product definition to product release.Serve as the product SME with partners, customers and other external audiencesPartner with marketing to provide positioning and messaging as well as contribute to GTM enablement. Provide pre-sales and post-sales support to Rancher sales teams.Collaborate with Engineering, Solutions, Support, Sales and Partner teams on an ongoing basis.Engage with Rancher and cloud native tooling users in online forums, Slack, meetups and conferences.You may be a good fit for the team if you have: Extensive product management experience with infrastructure, DevOps & workload productsTechnical understanding of enterprise DevOps environments, deployments and use cases.Knowledge of technologies such as DevOps, GitOps, Cluster API, ProvisioningComfortable with deep technical subjects and principalsStrong communications, presentation and interpersonal skills, both in physical and virtual settings across oceans and culturesSelf-motivated, able to handle ambiguity and work independently and in a teamExperience with open-source software development and culture
