PROJECT FIELD ENGINEER – DOCK CONSTRUCTION IN HAWAII

Location: HawaiiProject: High-Profile Dock ConstructionEstimated Duration: 5 YearsAbout Us:Protecnium is a leading international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technical services. We are currently seeking a Senior Project Field Engineer to join our team for a prestigious dock construction project in Hawaii. Upon successful project completion, we aim to offer continued opportunities on other exciting projects.Position Summary:The Senior Project Field Engineer will be responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering activities, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. This key role involves enforcing compliance, optimizing specifications, and maintaining safety and quality throughout all phases of the project.Key Responsibilities:Organize and manage all components of the project, defining objectives and timelines in collaboration with management while supervising contractor bid reviews.Develop accurate project specifications and conduct thorough technical analyses, ensuring compliance with client needs and performance standards.Design and maintain detailed project schedules, monitoring progress and adjusting activities as necessary to meet deadlines.Manage project budgets, control expenditures, and oversee contractor contracts to ensure cost efficiency while preparing regular status reports for informed decision-making.Enforce safety protocols to ensure a secure and compliant work environment, adhering to federal, state, and local regulations.Maintain accurate records and project reports, supporting the success of the team by meeting related objectives as required.Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.Requirements:Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Project Engineer on large-scale infrastructure projects, including marine works, concrete structures, highways, or road construction.Previous experience working with Spanish construction companies.Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related fields.Proficiency in interpreting specifications and blueprints, preparing submittals for civil, marine, mechanical, and road works, managing subcontracts, and ensuring compliance with cost control and regulatory standards.Fluent in English, with a minimum B2 level.Benefits:Local health insurance coverage.22 paid vacation days and 5 additional sick leave days at full salary.Company vehicle, gas allowance, and phone provided.Relocation assistance, including 15 days of accommodation.Round-trip airfare at the beginning and end of the project.Opportunities for professional growth and career development.Note: This job description outlines the main responsibilities and qualifications for the role.
