Job Title: Project Manager – Shiprepair and ShipbuildingLocation: Barcelona, Santo Domingo and PanamáContract Type: full-timeJob Description:At SYM NAVAL, we are looking for a Project Manager specialized in shiprepair and shipbuilding to lead and manage projects from start to finish in the different locations of our facilities in Spain, Dominican Republic and Panamá. This person will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing projects related to repairs and shipbuilding of ships. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in project management within the marine industry, as well as exceptional technical and leadership skills.Responsibilities:Plan and manage all phases of Shiprepair and Shipbuilding projects, from conception to delivery.Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, naval architects, contractors, and suppliers.Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.Oversee project schedules, manage risks, and solve any issues that may arise during construction.Maintain constant communication with clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress.Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations and naval construction standards.Manage project resources, including budgets, materials, and personnel.Requirements:Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture or a related field.Proven experience of at least 3 years in managing these kind of projects or within the maritime industry.Technical knowledge of ship systems, ship structures, and shipbuilding and Shiprepair regulations.Exceptional leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish.PMP certification or equivalent (desirable).Availability to travel for 6 months periods between SYM NAVAL facilities around the worldWhat We Offer:Competitive salary and benefits commensurate with experience.Professional development opportunities and growth within the company.A dynamic working environment in an innovative company within the naval industry.
