Job Description:Future Literacy Group is seeking a Public Affairs Associate specializing in defence and emerging technologies. This role is essential to drive and strengthen the innovation ecosystem in defense, connecting startups and tech companies with government bodies, industry leaders, and other key stakeholders. As part of our team, your mission will be to build relationships, promote strategic initiatives, and provide critical support to advanced technology companies looking to thrive in a highly competitive and regulated environment.Responsibilities:Develop and execute strategies to position emerging technologies within the defense sector, contributing to the growth of startups and companies in this ecosystem.Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including industry leaders, policymakers, investors, and government actors.Provide guidance and resources to advanced technology companies, facilitating strategic connections and growth opportunities.Continuously monitor policy, industry trends, and regulatory developments impacting defense and emerging technologies.Organize events, workshops, and networking activities to foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing among ecosystem participants.Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and maintain strategic coherence.Stay updated on advancements in emerging technologies applied to defense, bringing informed and proactive insights to our clients.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Political Science, International Relations, Business, Information Technology, or related disciplines).Proven experience of at least 3 years in consulting, public affairs, or the startup ecosystem, with a solid understanding of the defense sector or emerging technologies.Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to connect and influence a variety of stakeholders.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and attention to detail.A proactive and solution-oriented attitude, with the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.Exceptional interpersonal skills, essential for building and maintaining strategic relationships.Familiarity with the defense sector and its regulatory and technological challenges is highly desirable.Desired Competencies:Critical thinking and ability to anticipate trends.Strategic connectivity and skill in "connecting the dots."Persuasive writing and proactive communication skills.Values We Seek:Empathy, responsibility, and adaptability.Ability to learn and act with agility in changing environments.About Future Literacy Group:Future Literacy Group is a team of public policy and tech innovation strategists with a clear mission: to connect and empower our clients in critical sectors such as defense and emerging technologies.
