We pride ourselves on being creative and innovative solution providers to our customers and partners.Job description:We are currently looking for a PV Design Engineer, to be part of the European engineering team with the scope to provide services to the European portfolio.The Project Engineer will support the Engineering team within Enfinity Global’s development business in Europe and report to the Sr. Engineering Manager. In this role, you will be involved in PV and BESS projects from preliminary design to EPC contracting to commissioning and construction.Key responsibilities:Pre-construction development phase:Design, review, and value engineer preliminary Solar PV and BESS designs including array layouts, DC string sizing, equipment layouts, utility interconnections, etc. for ground mount systems and considering technology roadmap. Build and optimize energy production models using PVsyst or equivalent modeling solutions.Support Development team with preliminary materials and guidance to assess project feasibility. Compile restrictions, encumbrances and easements in general to ensure compliance and adequacy of designs to the permits and authorizations based on. Pre-construction RTB phase:Draft detailed layouts, prepare scenario analysis for different optimizations and equipment selection (PV module – structure – inverter).Prepare preliminary detailed designs for Layout and SLD. Prepare BoQ for PV plant and the basic RFQ package. Support the procurement team during RFQ process for project specific discussions.Perform preliminary assessment of AC sizing, load flow analysis, cable sizing calculations for PV projects. Assess and mitigate project risks in advance of detailed engineering efforts.Review and provide feedback on design and construction drawing packages from external partners (e.g., EPCs and external design firms). Support the EPC tender process and negotiation of EPC contracts.Develop and maintain outside engineering relationships with external companies used for engineering services.Construction & Operation:Collaborate with the Construction team and OE to gather and apply lessons learned regarding design optimization, constructability, and bid-level designs.Support the Construction team and OE in reviews upon design changes.Support Construction team during the PR evaluation phase. Assess plant performance during initial stages and Asset Management takeover.Qualifications:Degree in Electrical Power, Mechanical, Structural, or Civil Engineering. Electrical preferred.4-6 years experience in the energy sector with experience with plants greater than 10MWEnglish (C1), both verbal and written, able to write high quality technical reports. Italian is a plus.Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVsyst, QGIS, PVCase, MS Office Suite. Desirable: Strong knowledge of HV and MV electrical substations and electromechanical background, knowledge of civil scope (e.g., grading, drainage, hydrology, road construction, trenching, etc.), Italian Grid Code and the technical requirements needed to connect large scale renewable plants to the National Grid.Knowledge of ETAP, DigSilent will be positively valued.Proficiency in English is required, Italian is desiderable.In Enfinity Global group you will find a very dynamic and multinational environment in one of the most exciting and impactful industries.
