QA SOFTWARE TESTER (API TESTING EXPERIENCE A PLUS)

You will identify weak spots in the code base and constantly design better and creative ways to break software and identify potential problems. You will perform hands-on QA testing including data integrity for new features and regression testing while working with developers to resolve all identified defects, risks and issues.This position offers:A significant role in a dynamic QA team, part of a technology division within the world's largest provider of language services and technology solutionsAn opportunity to have real impact in product testing, direction and developmentCollaboration with colleagues globally in a cross functional teamOutstanding financial rewardsResponsibilities:Initiate and monitor QA testing, making adjustments for scalability, functionality, and usabilityResponsible for testing web applications, creative content and special projectsCreate test cases vs. RTM Matrix against the user stories to support application developmentTesting the application through both manual meansConduct regression, system, integration, and web services testingTest and ensure that software enhancements and system fixes work flawlessly to meet intended business needs according to defined requirementsMake recommendations for revisions or improvements, including product customization, based on client feedbackIdentify user stories and translate them into test cases as requiredIdentifying and log defects using Team Foundation ServerProvide usability and functionality feedback to developersAssist and collaborate closely with Product Managers, Developers and Release Manager to ensure that the application development is according to the quality assurance standardsWork closely in collaboration with the developers, designers and engineers to facilitate the building of applications to spec and on timeProvides specific technical guidance on defects to developersEnsures traceability of test cases to requirementsParticipating in sprint planning meetings and daily standup meetings, working with developers, business analysts, project managers, user advocates, and other testers, local and remoteCommunication:Maintain strong, ongoing channels of communication with QA and Development teamsAbility to clearly communicate and synchronize efforts with the rest of the QA team.Qualifications, Experience and Skills:Experience in analyzing user stories and translate them into test casesExperience with Confluence, Jira and Team Foundation Server, an assetMust have experience with building and executing manual test cases for client Web & GUI applications.Experience testing RESTful web services and API'sPast experiences with QA testing, GUI driven testingExperience working with data, APIQA Testing experience- demonstrated ability to write test plans with traceability to each acceptance criteria listed in requirementsEnsure development projects are delivered to production only after meeting rigorous quality assurance standards in pre-production environmentsStrong analysis and autonomous problem discovery and solving skillsMust be a self-starter, self-motivated and capable of working independently as well as part of a teamHigh attention to detail and accuracyAPI testing experience a plusBy applying, I confirm I have read and accept TransPerfect's Privacy Policy: https://www.transperfect.com/about/data-privacy-recruiting
