Steele Charles are delighted to have been retained with an aerospace business, based in northern Spain. This company specialises in designing and manufacturing RF solutions for the Defence, Space, and Telecommunications sectors. The company delivers custom, high-quality solutions tailored to meet specific project needs.Reporting in to the head of Engineering, the RF Design Engineer will have a strong background in satellite communication subsystems, capable of working with frequencies up to 50 GHz. The ideal candidate will have expertise in both high and low-level design, from frequency converters to power amplifiers, with practical experience in a variety of technical areas.The salary range is €40,000 - €65,000 plus package. Key Requirements:Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Telecommunications, Physics, or Electronic Engineering.Experience: At least 4 years in a similar role (10 years preferred).Design Skills: Proficient in satellite communication subsystems design, including:Frequency convertersPower amplifiersOscillatorsLow noise amplifiersTechnical Knowledge:Electromagnetic and thermal simulations (preferred).Electronic design at PCB level and mechanical design for electronic equipment.Microwave testing with lab instrumentation, including spectrum analysers and power meters.Documentation: Skilled in generating project and manufacturing documentation.Language: High proficiency in English, both spoken and written.Soft Skills: Strong teamwork, initiative, and problem-solving abilities.We're looking for individuals ready to join a collaborative team and contribute to ground breaking RF solutions in the space and defence industries.
