They are used in many industries and applications, such as construction chemicals, paints and adhesives, plastics, wood, paper, industrial water treatment, energy, oil and gas, electronics, and many other markets.LANXESS Spain is currently seeking strong, motivated, and talented individuals with the appropriate sales and technical experience for the position of Sales Manager IBERIA - Material Protection Products portfolio (MPP BU), reporting to the Sales Director South Europe - Industrial Solutions Business Line.Location: LANXESS Spain, Barcelona, office hybrid, home based possibilityGeographical scope : Spain, Portugal (travel is to be expected in Europe)Main responsibilities:To secure and develop our existing customer portfolio while ensuring the quality of technical and regulatory support;To identify new opportunities and potential customers (lead generation);To visit customers to assess their needs and/or promote our products and services;To provide or participate in technical training and/or assistance to customers, including hygiene audits in the field, presentations related to the proper use of our products;To create and update customer files in a "data quality" logic;To collaborate closely with the technical marketing, research and development, regulatory affairs and product management teams, as well as with the sales team;Negotiate prices, volume targets and financial terms, in accordance with company guidelines;Regularly provide accurate and realistic sales forecasts;Contribute to the definition of annual budgets and related objectives;Monitor market changes and trends, market fluctuations and competitor activities and behaviours;Communicate market needs and information to the team internally;Reporting (CRM, business case...)Knowledge and Experience:Master Degree in Chemistry, Degree in science, Engineering or comparable experienceMinimum 5 years of successful sales activities in the chemical industry or in related industriesCandidates with knowledge of the the industrial biocides sector (biocidal product regulation) and experience in the use of biocides are preferred; ideally with a large portfolio of clients in Spain and Portugalstrong negotiation and communication skills, both with your external and internal interlocutorsIntensive travel activities within Spain and Portugal and internationallyExcellent command of the Catalan, Spanish, Portuguese and English languagesExcellent communication and presentation skillsResult oriented working styleFor us, talent matters, we welcome everyone who commits to our values.
