SENIOR INVESTMENT MANAGER

Our client is a leader in the impact investing and venture capital space, focusing on early-stage companies that combine financial returns with positive societal impact. They are seeking an Investment Manager with an entrepreneurial mindset or a strong background in the tech industry.ResponsibilitiesProgram and Team Leadership & ManagementProvide strategic leadership to the Venture Capital team.Lead the team in developing investment theses, particularly for seed-stage startups in sectors such as software, hardware, semiconductors, advanced materials, and manufacturing.Oversee and mentor professional staff, ensuring alignment with company goals.Manage the team’s budget, ensuring responsible financial planning and resource allocation.Venture InvestingLeverage an extensive network to source high-quality investment opportunities, particularly in the seed stage.Conduct market research and analysis to identify and screen investment opportunities within the semiconductor, software, advanced materials, and manufacturing sectors.Perform comprehensive due diligence and investment analysis to evaluate opportunities.Lead negotiations with co-investors and entrepreneurs on deal terms and structuring.Provide strategic support to portfolio companies, particularly during their critical early growth stages.Business and Network DevelopmentBuild and maintain relationships with founders, venture capital firms, and impact investing organizations.Lead fundraising and strategic partnership initiatives to secure additional capital for venture investments.Represent the firm at industry events and networking opportunities to further business development goals.Investment OperationsOversee tracking of portfolio company performance, ensuring thorough reporting and monitoring of progress.Contribute to quarterly and annual financial reporting.Liaise with legal and financial service providers to ensure compliance with audit, tax, and regulatory requirements.Key RequirementsMaster's degree in Engineering, Software, Physics or Electronic (PhD preferred)Significant entrepreneurial experience or a leadership role within the tech industries.Proven ability to scale early-stage startups, with a deep understanding of the challenges faced by companies in the seed stage.Excellent communication and negotiation skills, particularly when working with entrepreneurs and co-investors.
