What you’ll do   This role will be responsible for UK sovereign platform capability VBSE and CNI customers and have accountability for Network/IT/Hosting design, security and availability for both VBSE to communicate and customers managed services in the CNI/UK Govt space.
• Delivering UK Sovereign Colo, hosting and use of cloud technologies (Systems, connectivity and DevOps) • Expert knowledge in Networking, IT, Hosting capabilities • Accountable for the security of VBSE platforms across HMG/CNI customers • Lead technology, security architecture and cyber strategy and direction across Sell, Build and Run for VBSE and VBSE customers.
• Accountable for the architecture, delivery, support, and performance of IP-MPLS, IT/Hosting in line with the strategic plan of VBSE.
• The role enables effective supplier and service support aspects and must satisfy unique, significantly challenging and often ground-breaking requirements.
• Role model who will coach, mentor, and develop other members of VBSE.
• Accountable for the architecture of solutions provided to customers with the highest security requirements; including CNI and Public Sector • Lead technology & security architecture across VBSE and its customers.
Ensure appropriate technology decisions are made within VBSE and for VBSE customers that will satisfy customer requirements, obligations and HMG Good Practice.
• Lead the Platforms and services functions across multiple disciplines, ensuring appropriate technology decisions and operational capability and performance exists within VBSE and for VBSE customers.
• Key stakeholder for pre-sales designing commercially viable solutions that are deliverable by Vodafone/VBSE.
• Be trusted advisor to senior C-level customer and internal stakeholder on matters relating to VBSE Cyber and VBSE secure solutions.
Be trusted advisor to Vodafone Business UK on Cyber Who you are   • Detailed knowledge of fixed communications systems, technology, protocols and standards • Experienced in design of complex fixed communications systems including Transmission and IP • Experienced in design of complex security architectures including IP, COTS & GOTS encryption, defence in depth, security monitoring • Must have or be able to obtain Security Clearance • Security & market knowledge.
Expert knowledge of cyber, security and networking, ideally in a pre-sales, consultancy or assurance background.
Knowledge of security requirements and solutions.
Knowledge of IT frameworks and sources of good practice guidance (e.
.
ISO, ITIL, NCSC).
Experience of working with one of more of public sector and critical national infrastructure markets.
• Expert product knowledge across IP-MPLS/SD-WAN/Cyber/Hosting solutions.
Strategic supplier relationships to determine strategy and solutions for both internal and external requirements • Consulting leadership skills.
Extensive customer facing pre-sales experience.
Understands and able to lead, motivate and develop pre-sales consultants.
• Proven record of supporting business growth by developing customer solutions and evidencing security to customers.
