BorgWarner PowerDriveSystems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven ” individual to join as a Jr.
Mechanical Engineer at our DaeGu Technical Center, Korea.
Key Accountabilities.
Support the Rotating Electric Product Engineering Competency team, Rotating Electric Machine Product Line, and other Engineering Competencies Serve as a key member of Rotating Electric Machine Product Competency team along with members of CAE, CRE(Component Release Engineering) and CAD teams Building expertise in stator design and winding pattern design Responsible for the design, development and production release of e motor models for multiple customer programs within rotating electric machine Work with CRE and Design staff to prepare concepts, layouts and drawings.
Work with CAE to ensure that components and the overall product perform at the required levels.
Collaborate with Validation Engineers to prepare the appropriate fixtures and complete testing requirements.
Familiarize self with key quality methods used at BorgWarner including ADV plans, DFMEA's, DFM/DFA process, and APQP and Design for Value (DFV) Work with customers to ensure product meets performance, packaging and service ability requirements.
Actively support purchasing throughout the supplier release process Work with Plant Product & Manufacturing Engineers to ensure product meets manufacturing requirements Support the engineering change process for engineering products Assist with prototype build activities Education & Experience.
Bachelor Degree in Engineering required; Mechanical Engineering preferred Fresh or up to 5 years professional experience Preferred qualifications for experienced candidates Product engineering experience in E Motor or Electric Drive Product Design & Development preferred Automotive experience highly preferred Knowledge of DFMEA, DFM/DFA and APQP required Manufacturing and assembly process knowledge is preferred Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis preferred Knowledge of GD&T required Excellent communication skills in English required Ability to use common software required What we believe Inclusion - We value diversity in people, ideas, and experiences.
